The last few days

After my Gpa's funeral stuff we went with a few members of our ward to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. Our ward had rented a Weber State bus to take us down there. It was a fun trip.


I don't know if you can see it so well in this picture unless you click on it and blow it up, but the Angel Moroni and gotten struck by lightening not long before and it had turned the trump and his arm and some of his face black. It was pretty crazy to see. It was a beautiful temple and of course there is an amazing spirit there. We have a great ward also and had a great time with them.
The next day was fathers day so we went to our parents. This is me with Charlotte and Saydee on the wiggle cars at my parents. They are so fun to ride with the kids. The kids love them too so it is just fun all around.
I broke my thumb, here is the story.... A FEW SUNDAY'S AGO WE WERE AT SANGS PARENTS AND WE WERE PLAYING DODGE BALL WITH THE KIDS AND AFTER A FEW VICTORIES ON MY TEAMS PART WE GOT THE BALLS LINED UP IN THE MIDDLE AND WERE ON OUR SIDES AND LITTLE SAYDEE YELLED "GO!!!" SANGS BROTHER, BRYAN, AND I HAPPENED TO BE RUNNING FOR THE SAME BALL AND WE WERE BOTH SO CLOSE, SO I DOVE HANDS OUT IN FRONT OF ME REACHING TOWARD THE BALL AND BRYAN AT THE SAME TIME DID A BASEBALL FEET FIRST DIVE FOR THE SAME BALL. HIS LITTLE ASIAN SHOED FOOT HIT MY HAND AND I HEARD A "POP". I KNEW IT STUNG BUT I FELT OK. SO I STARTED SAYING "I'M OK" THEN I LOOK AT MY THUMB AND IT WAS STUCK BENT THE WRONG WAY IN THE END JOINT. THEN I WAS LIKE "CRAP, I DON'T THINK THAT'S RIGHT" SO SHANNEN LOOKED AT IT AND SAID IT WAS JUST POPPED OUT OF JOINT AND SOMEONE NEEDS TO BEND IT BACK. I HEAR THE GUYS START ARGUING OVER WHO WAS GOING TO GET STUCK DOING IT. LOL FINALLY I SAID "WELL SOMEONE NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING OR HURRY AND TAKE ME SOMEWHERE TO GET IT FIXED!" SO SANG GRABBED ME FROM BEHIND AND SUNNI CAME AND HUGGED ME FROM THE FRONT AND BRYAN GRABBED MY FINGER AND BENT IT BACK FOR ME. WE WENT IN AND ICED IT. I WENT TO THE DOCS THE NEXT DAY AND THEY DID AN EX-RAY AND IT IS FRACTURED. DOC SAID IT WASN'T DISLOCATED IT WAS A FRACTURE DISPLACEMENT. HE SENT ME TO A SPECIALIST TO SEE IF I NEED SURGERY BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE THE FRACTURE GOES DOWN TO MY JOINT AND THAT CAN CAUSE A LOT OF PROBLEMS. IT DID END UP GOING TO THE JOINT BUT HE SAID IT SHOULDN'T BE A PROBLEM. NO SURGERY NECESSARY. =) IT IS MY FIRST BROKEN BONE.
I wish we would have gotten a picture of it while it was bent back and of the bruise before I got it casted. This picture was 3 weeks from when it had happened and you can't tell so much in the picture but my finger looks like it is dead. It was so black and blue, it even went into my palm.
